About This Assessment
This tool follows the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) three-part legitimate interest assessment (LIA) framework. Under GDPR Article 6(1)(f), you can process personal data for cold email if you have a "legitimate interest" that is not overridden by the individual's rights and freedoms.
The three parts of the test are: (1) the purpose test -- identifying a legitimate interest, (2) the necessity test -- showing the processing is necessary for that interest, and (3) the balancing test -- ensuring the individual's rights do not override your interest.
This tool provides general guidance only and does not constitute legal advice. For definitive compliance verification, consult a GDPR-qualified data protection professional. Sales.co includes built-in GDPR compliance features to help you manage legitimate interest requirements at scale.
